Cango mines 153 BTC this week

Japan's FSA proposes new dedicated crypto unit
Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) has included a proposal to establish a new department dedicated to cryptocurrency in its 2026 budget request to the government, according to a report from local crypto media outlet CoinPost. The agency stated it plans to create a new Cryptocurrency and Innovation Division that would be dedicated to overseeing digital assets and cashless payments.

U.S. July core PCE rises 0.3% MoM, in line with expectations
The U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) announced that the core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index rose 0.3% in July from the previous month, matching economists' expectations.
On a year-over-year basis, the index increased by 2.9%, also in line with the consensus forecast. The Federal Reserve considers the core PCE price index, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, its preferred measure of inflation.

Crypto gaming startup PlaysOut seeks to raise up to $15M
Crypto gaming technology startup PlaysOut is considering raising up to $15 million at a valuation of $150 million, Bloomberg reported.
According to people familiar with the matter, the company is currently in discussions with Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds and global venture capital firms about the potential investment. PlaysOut is also a partner of Tencent, China's largest IT company.

CoinShares reports $32.4M net profit for Q2
Digital asset manager CoinShares posted a net profit of $32.4 million for the second quarter, a 5.3% decrease from the prior quarter but a 1.9% increase year-over-year, The Block reported. Meanwhile, the firm’s assets under management grew 26% quarter-over-quarter to $3.5 billion, driven by rising prices for BTC and ETH.
