Whale who joined WLFI presale deposits $32.2M in tokens to Binance

A whale who participated in the WLFI presale in January deposited 130 million WLFI, worth $32.21 million, into Binance four hours ago, Onchain Lens reported. The investor had initially purchased 666 million WLFI during the presale for 10 million USDT. According to CoinMarketCap, WLFI is currently trading at $0.2451, up 7.23%.

Ethereum Foundation to shut down Holesky testnet

The Ethereum Foundation plans to shut down its Holesky testnet within two weeks of the upcoming Fusaka upgrade, Cointelegraph reported. The foundation intends to deploy the Fusaka upgrade on the Holesky testnet at the end of September, followed by a mainnet launch in November. Staking operators and infrastructure currently on Holesky will be migrated to the Hoodi testnet.

Metaplanet shareholders approve plan to purchase 210,000 BTC

Shareholders of Metaplanet, a publicly listed Japanese company that has added Bitcoin to its corporate treasury, have approved a plan to purchase 210,000 BTC by 2027, Cryptoslate reported. The acquisition will be funded by raising up to 555 billion yen ($3.58 billion) through an issuance of preferred shares. The decision was made at a shareholders’ meeting on Sept. 1, which was attended by Eric Trump, the second son of U.S. President Donald Trump. Metaplanet previously announced the purchase of an additional 1,009 BTC, bringing its current holdings to 20,000 BTC.

EU securities regulator warns tokenized stocks may lack shareholder rights

Tokenized gold market cap surpasses $2.57B
